Advanced Spinning Workshop | Corespinning & Coils

Looking to expand your spinning skills or toying with the idea of spinning your own art yarns but don't know where to start? Core spinning and coil plying are two fun techniques to add to your skillset allowing you to create a totally unique and beautiful textured yarn which looks amazing when woven up - or just kept in your stash to squish occasionally!

In this workshop you will be let loose with piles of glorious fibres to blend as you wish using either drum carder, hackle or hand cards before learning how to spin this floof around a strong core yarn and plying big bouncy coils. 

This workshop is recommended for experienced spinners - feel free to bring your own wheel (jumbo orifice and bobbin recommended!) but all other materials and equipment is provided.

Please contact in advance if you do not have an art-yarn suitable flyer on your wheel as there are a limited number of spinning wheels available in the shop that can be borrowed during the class on a first-come basis!

All workshops will take place within the shop, located at 11 Donaldson Crescent G66 1XF - there is parking to the front of the premises available on a first-come basis plus extra parking around the corner.

Terms & Conditions

• Full workshop payments are refundable in full up to 72 hours before the commencement of workshop. 
• Any cancellations within 72 hours will incur loss of a £10 cancellation fee. This can be used as a deposit against another workshop if requested in advance.
• In the case of a no-show all payment is non-refundable. 
• If workshop is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances all payment will be refunded in full or can be used against future workshops upon request.
