The Sorrel Sweater by Wool & Pine is a top down jumper knitted using one strand of 4ply/fingering yarn held together with a mohair or alpaca cloud for a luxurious finish and beautiful texture. The seamless construction features a beautiful dip stitch yoke and reverse stockinette body (knitted inside out to save you from excessive purling).
Having knitted this gorgeous jumper myself I can confirm that this pattern is beautifully written and very true to size and a great project to keep your brain and hands busy during this awful pandemic.
I have dyed up several sets for this pattern already and have decided to open up the option for dye-to-order kits to make the process easier to manage. I took the liberty of working out the maths for you so you know how much yarn you will need for each size, with the option to knit either a cropped or full length jumper.
This pattern is very size inclusive, ranging from 31.5”-66” bust and a proportional reduction has been built into the pricing of these kits to make it more affordable for those of us who require larger quantities of yarn.
As this is a dye to order kit you have plenty of flexibility in the yarms you choose. I am limiting the range to my Hitchhikers Guide colourways for one of the yarns but the semisolid yarn is up to you and can complement or contrast as you wish! Using a variegated Suri Silk Cloud yarn held with a semisolid 4ply will give you a very different effect to holding a semisolid Cloud with a speckled or variegated - from my own experience the mohair (or in this case Suri Alpaca with Silk) is the yarn which will stand out the most when knitted up so bear this in mind when choosing your colourways. For more information about this click here to read my blog post on the topic.
This kit contains sufficient yarn to complete your jumper and includes a printed copy of the pattern and, for Ravelry users, a digital copy sent directly to your account.
Please bear in mind that as this kit is dyed to order there will be a couple of days delay before shipping your parcel, likewise whilst the country is in lockdown I am limiting my trips to the post office to once a week as necessary. I thank you for your understanding and patience.
